If you’re a happily childless adult who is sick of people asking you why you don’t want to procreate — Chelsea Handler has just provided you with a little ammo. And you can thank Ashley Tisdale for it.
The comedian was recently given the lowdown on Tisdale’s “toxic mom group” drama by Page Six Radio, and Handler had a pretty funny take on the whole ordeal.
“That’s another reason not to have children, to have to deal with that shit,” Handler said. “You’re out of school, you’re a mother, then you have to deal with that dynamic and being excluded again? As an adult woman? No thank you.”
Handler comparing the vibe of the situation to a high-school mean girl clique isn’t far-fetched.
Last week, Tisdale published an essay in The Cut called “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group,” in which she talks about feeling excluded and iced out of her circle of friends.
After the publication of the former “High School Musical” star’s essay, it didn’t take long for internet sleuths to begin speculating that the mom group Tisdale was referring to includes fellow celebrities like Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor. The reason why many made this assumption is because of Instagram posts the women have shared over the years — one of which features Tisdale, Duff, Moore and Trainor posing for a group photo in matching “Mother” sweats.
Although a rep for Tisdale told TMZ on Monday that Tisdale’s essay wasn’t referencing that particular mom group, Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, stirred the pot on Tuesday by posting a pretty snarky Instagram Story about the whole fiasco in an attempt to stick up for his wife.
In the post, the music producer superimposed his head onto the photo of Tisdale used by The Cut in her essay. He then changed the title of her essay to: “When You’re The Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.”

Despite Handler’s knee-jerk reaction to the kerfuffle, she also didn’t have anything negative to say about any of the famous women involved to Page Six.
The former “Chelsea Lately” host admitted that she doesn’t “really know Ashley Tisdale,” so she really couldn’t speak on her character.
She also said she doesn’t know Duff, either, though she seems enthralled with her public persona, saying she’s drawn in “when Hilary Duff is in a story,” and that she’s “attracted to storylines with her in them.”

Handler did admit that she does know Moore, however, and sang her praises.
“She’s a wonderful, sweet person. So, I’ll just say that,” Handler said.
