‘Daily Show’ Exposes ‘Cartoonishly Evil’ ICE With A Blistering Reality Check

“What the fuck? It’s a Halloween parade. Those are just kids. They weren’t actual Korean demon hunters,” Chieng quipped.

The comedian stressed that ICE agents “don’t need to be this violent.”

“The violence and showing the violence is the point,” he explained.

He proceeded to check those claiming that the ICE agent who shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good “feared for his safety.” President Donald Trump and several key officials in his administration have attacked Good since video of the shooting surfaced on social media.

“We also have to acknowledge that this woman probably feared for her safety, too. And for good reason,” Chieng stated.

“And telling someone to just comply with law enforcement isn’t helpful when ICE has spent the past year acting less like law enforcement and more like a lawless militia.”

He continued, “So unfortunately, we can keep expecting this to happen. Not because ICE is going into dangerous situations but because they keep going into safe situations and then making them more dangerous than they need to be.”
