Rose Byrne Reveals Wild Reason Why Her Partner Missed Her Golden Globe Win

Rose Byrne won her first Golden Globe Sunday night for “Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture” for her turn in “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.” Yet, her husband, actor Bobby Cannavale, was MIA from the ceremony.

The reason was cold-blooded.

Despite his absence, Byrne delivered an acceptance filled with her natural comedic charm. After admitting that her Australian parents “bought Paramount+ so they could watch” her at the ceremony from Sydney, she went on to explain why her brother George was her date.

“I want to thank my husband, Bobby Cannavale, who couldn’t be here because we are getting a bearded dragon and he went to a reptile expo in New Jersey,” Byrne said. “Thank you, baby!”

The acting couple share two sons, Rocco and Rafael. Cannavale also has another son, Jake, from his previous marriage to Jenny Lumet. Let’s hope the bearded dragon was for the kids — and not because he just really digs lizards.
