“I never thought I’d hear the words ‘shocking new video from TMZ’ in a story about the president of the United States,” he began. “Normally, when I hear those words, I think somebody’s boob must’ve popped out on the red carpet. So it’s pretty disappointing when it’s this boob who popped out and stayed out.”
Meyers quipped that Trump is “so unpopular, he turned a Ford plant into an Oberlin drum circle” and teased him for responding to the worker, who has since been suspended from his job.
In response to Trump’s Ford plant F-bomb, White House spokesperson Steven Cheung said that “a lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the president gave an appropriate and unambiguous response.”
“What are you talking about? The heckler or the president? Because that doesn’t really narrow that down,” Meyers remarked. ″‘A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage’ sounds like the TV Guide description of a Trump press conference.”
The comedian questioned if the spokesperson was “seriously” referring to Trump as a “lunatic” before tossing to a supercut of the president dropping a range of expletives over the years.
