Rock legend Neil Young isn’t letting up on his sharp words for President Donald Trump.
In a scathing new post shared on his website this week, Young weighed in on the “biggest mess” happening in America and went scorched earth on the president and his administration.
“Wake up people! Today The USA is a disaster,” Young wrote.
“Donald Trump is destroying America bit by bit with his staff of wannabes, people with no experience or talent, closet alcoholic wife beaters, inexperienced leaders who only know how to lie to keep favor with the Trump falseness so they can hold their unearned positions in his inept government, a Congress full of Republicans acting like idiots with no conscience…”
The longtime Trump critic, a dual Canadian-American citizen, has used his site — and his music — to put the president on blast since he returned to office.
Years before his first presidential run, Trump expressed his love for Young’s music, calling him a “terrific guy.”
On Thursday, the rocker urged people to “take Trump at his word” before using his campaign slogan against him.
“Make America Great Again,” Young suggested. “It won’t be easy while he is trying to turn our cities into battlegrounds so he can cancel our elections with [martial] law and escape all accountability.”
He continued, “Something has to change this. We know what to do. Rise up. Peacefully in millions. Too many innocent people are dying.”
Young’s post arrived after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and killed Renee Good, a Minneapolis resident and a mother of three. Trump and key officials in his administration, without evidence, have since blamed Good for the shooting.
The rocker declared that it’s “ICE cold” in America and offered his advice on how people can respond to the president.
“He knows nothing about love,” Young wrote of Trump. “He does not know who you are. Use your love of life, your love of one another, your love of children, yours and theirs and ours. Peacefully. Now.”
