‘Heated Rivalry’ Star Gives NSFW Golden Globes Interview

Hudson Williams brought the horny vibes of “Heated Rivalry” to the 2026 Golden Globes Sunday night and left Gayle King briefly speechless in the process.

The Canadian actor winked at his steamy performance in the much-buzzed-about series while chatting with King on the red carpet outside the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

“The buzz the whole night, and I’m not exaggerating, was, ‘They’re coming! They’re coming! They’re coming!’” King told Williams, referring to the fan frenzy that his appearance at the award ceremony beside co-star and on-screen love interest Connor Storrie had generated.

“Yeah, we do that a lot,” Williams quipped in response.

Later in the chat, Williams had a similarly NSFW reply when King asked him to describe his perfect first date.

“Good conversation, good laughing. And good fucking,” he proclaimed.

Based on Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” novels, “Heated Rivalry” has dominated the cultural zeitgeist for weeks. The six-episode series, which premiered on HBO Max and Canada’s Crave as the 2025 holiday season was getting underway, follows hockey players Shane Hollander (played by Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Storrie), who go from adversaries on the ice to secret lovers behind the scenes.

The show’s success has catapulted Storrie, 25, and Williams, 24, onto the Hollywood map seemingly overnight and prompted discourse about the challenges facing LGBTQ+ athletes in the hyper-competitive world of professional sports.

In his chat with King, Williams said his newfound fame had felt “overwhelming” at first, adding: “Now it’s starting to feel a little bit more gratifying.”

“I’m just a lot more thankful, because now I’m meeting people who I really admire and respect and I’m able to just talk about the thing that I love talking about with them ― acting, film,” he explained. “I just know in this industry it can go up, down, sideways, so in this moment, I just want to relax and take things in without glazed eyes.”
