Chris Noth had a surprising reaction when a fan responded to his latest Instagram post with a dig at his longtime “Sex and the City” co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker.
Last week, the actor acknowledged the start of 2026 by sharing a photo of himself in the gym. “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!” he wrote on Instagram.
Noth’s post came just days after Parker received the Golden Globes’ Carol Burnett Award for her “outstanding contributions to television” at the Globes’ “Golden Eve” ceremony. Though “SATC” stars Kristin Davis, David Eigenberg and Evan Handler were on hand to fête Parker, Noth did not attend the Jan. 6 event in Los Angeles.
In the comments under Noth’s post, a fan seemingly alluded to the actor’s absence, writing: “You mean fcuk sjp & her award right? lol.”
Noth responded by appearing to back the sentiment. “Right,” he wrote.
A representative for Noth had no comment on the post, while Parker’s rep did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.

Given that Mr. Big was killed off on the premiere episode of “And Just Like That…,” Noth’s involvement with HBO Max’s polarizing “Sex and the City” revival series, which wrapped last year after three seasons, was limited.
Shortly after “And Just Like That…“debuted, however, Noth was accused of sexual assault by two women, who made their allegations anonymously. Though the actor denied the claims, scenes from the “And Just Like That…” Season 1 finale episode that would’ve featured Mr. Big were reportedly removed ahead of its 2022 broadcast.
Despite his disgraced exit from “And Just Like That…,” Noth’s comment is likely to surprise longtime “SATC” fans given the actor has, at least until now, appeared to be on good terms with Parker.
Speaking to The Guardian in 2021, he defended Parker amid longstanding reports of a behind-the-scenes feud between her and former co-star Kim Cattrall, who did not reprise the role of Samantha Jones in “And Just Like That…” outside of a Season 2 cameo.
“I do know that I’m very close with SJ and [Cattrall’s] descriptions of her don’t even come close,” he said at the time. “I just don’t like to see anyone talking down about SJ because she’s a target and people can be nasty. I feel very protective of her and I was not happy about that. That’s all I’ll say about that.”
