Most Popular Movies To Stream Besides ‘People We Meet On Vacation’

People We Meet on Vacation” is currently the top movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

The rom-com is based on Emily Henry’s bestselling 2021 novel of the same name, and marks the first screen adaptation of one of her books. It follows Poppy (Emily Bader) and Alex (Tom Blyth), unlikely best friends of a decade who live far apart but spend every summer vacation together. In a true friends-to-lovers trope, the two question whether their friendship could be something more.

The movie also stars Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon and Alan Ruck.

Despite its trending status on Netflix, “People We Meet on Vacation” received less-than-stellar reviews from critics, who called the film an “instantly forgettable” rom-com made for viewers to “turn into steamy fan cams on TikTok.” Read HuffPost’s review of the film.
